Secure Destruction
Swarf management
Swarf (or filings, shavings, metal chips or turnings) are generated by grinding, drilling, turning, milling or cutting tools in the machining of metals and other elements.
2 Recycling offer a swarf management system which includes providing smaller bins and wheelie bins. Being smaller and more manoeuvrable than bigger containers, they can be placed directly next to the machinery so less time is spent emptying the machine. It also means that different types of material are sorted as they are processed which provides a higher paid price than if you recycled mixed materials.
To save space on site, and down-time when bins are full, they are replaced as frequently as needed with collection of materials at the same time. Whether it is daily, weekly or monthly, we will handle all the material you are generating to ensure production does not come to a stop.

Transportation and loading
Our dedicated and varied fleet of lorries provide next day collection from all over the UK. A dedicated fleet means that we can time your collection to your convenience and if you don’t have a forklift, we’ll bring it to you. Many of our lorries are equipped with their own forklifts and can load up the lorry ourselves.
Even if your wheelie bins are 150 kg capacity, our tail lift vehicles which we use with our pallet trucks can be used to load up your scrap. With our smallest capacity tail lift at 1000 kgs, there’s no problem lifting.
Satellite tracking
2 Recycling have installed the latest driver to computer messaging and satellite tracking system to all of its vehicles. Incorporating hands free mobile telephones, we can communicate to the driver, directing and tracking the driver right up until he returns to our central depot for offloading into our secure warehouses.

When you are scrapping metal which cannot come back onto the market as a usable item, we offer an extra service which destroys the item and makes sure it can never be used again.
Once the process is complete, we issue a Certificate of Destruction for you to keep. This guarantees that the item has been destroyed and cannot ever be re-used in its original from.

Our system gives you peace of mind that we have not weighed the scrap incorrectly or graded it incorrectly. The evidence is there for you to see as you will automatically receive a copy of every weighbridge ticket with the Material Valuation Sheet, we send you.
